This week's big moment happens Friday when I go to one of the major talent agencies in San Francisco and deliver my monologue, then read a commercial script cold. Thanks to Brian from the podcast for recommending me. It's so much about who you know, isn't it?
Every time I ask one of my fellow actors about how they survive in this business in the Bay Area, where the acting jobs are so low budget, I find out that either they are comfortably retired or they're being financially supported by a partner. Alternatively, they are struggling to keep the wolf at the door and "considering moving to L.A." Some have tried the southland and come back, disappointed.
This may be a good month to consult a psychic.
