Aha! So that's who she's been talking about all these many months...Published author Lizette Wanzer chaired today's panel of six writers, featuring in addition to herself, award-winning investigative journalist Christopher Cook; published literary fiction writer Miriam Fitting; author of the upcoming novel, "In the Lap of the Gods," Li Miao Lovett; published writer and college teacher Kathleen McClung; and me - all flash fiction contributors reading at the SF Pubic Libary. It was a kick!
Our old portable mike had been borrowed from the Unitarian church, so we had enough amplification over a bit of hum... Adding to the grittiness of SF performance art. The appreciative audience seemed to roll with the punches as we read our stories of happiness, tragedy, despair, irony and all those things we six had carved into short prose for this performance.
My favorite part was seeing an assortment of dear old friends, my writers' group, my podcast colleague, and my family joined together by our words.
Assuming the event photos came out OK, I'll be posting them soon.
