Karen of Davis

Here I am after driving home from Davis. Loved my new retro hair and make-up by Karen of Davis.

Back early from medical video shoot, which only took about an hour, including coverage. Seamless. Sweet. Hot - as in 105 degrees in the studio which was somebody's house without A/C in Davis which was over 100 outdoors. Karen's a talented L.A. hair and make-up artist who moved north. I highly recommend her. Email me if you want to get in touch with Karen of Davis. Nobody in my entire life before Karen has met me and in two minutes understood what to do with this funky hair.

Learned a few more tricks today. Had studied my lines, which were few, but found out at the last minute that scripts had changed a bit. Also found out that wonderful producer would have cue cards - my first experience with cards.

My co-actress, K uses a tiny tape recorder. Ooooooooh, Wow. Never thought of that. She hooks it onto her belt or trousers, and the invisible earpiece tucks over her ear and under her hair...I believe she listens to the dialogue and repeats it. She has to be open about this, so the crew are aware of timing. I am impressed with this technique. But - um, er, for me, the entire acting trip was about memory preservation, right? (I hear my "In-World War" character, Trainer Terry in the background saying, "Most of you are facing bankruptcy and mindwipe...")
