Little by little, those wee clips of my work are starting to pour in. Squeaky wheel gets the grease. Today I finally got the DVD burn from my first UC Davis Medical video, which I'll look at as soon as I get the disk player fixed on my computer. Not all noncommercial DVD burns work on all DVD players, and that's the case here.
Yesterday the director of that winery video from months ago sent my clip online....there I am, walking into the tasting room with my "husband." We make a cute couple. The director wrote:
"I so much appreciated your participation in this training video. You were extremely easy to work with, due in large part to your natural born skills and your professionalism. When Parker and I were working late into the night (literally we had been at it for at least 18 hours) and we were tired---we would watch the clip of you playing the part of getting upset at the tasting room bar and we would just bust out laughing. You did such a good job of communicating the frustration that someone feels when they don't get the service they deserve. I will not hesitate to use you for future shoots and hope that are paths cross again..."
I'm looking for an inexpensive video editor to help me put my reel together. Maybe you know someone I can call in the East Bay?
