Rites of Passage

Nuns did it right...Tonight we crossed over... Rehearsed all day, myself, then Sister Mary Maureen and sister Mary Sukanya and I (Sister Mary Elise) did due diligence outside the green room tonight, and, by gum, we got it down. This sounds like a lot of work for about 30 lines, but, if that's what it takes, then you do it. No pride.

There were other problems, though, like - unexpectedly locked stage doors, and insanely loud speaker systems, and a wee costume squabble (amicably resolved). Not out of the ordinary, I'm sure.

Note to self: always exercise before show night. And eat properly by 3 PM.

The Karl Hunt character, Chris, who plays both the Man in White and Hollywood director Billy Einhorn, and is married to our Artistic Director, Sue Trigg, always gives us women a kiss before showtime. Aaah, even we nuns can feel fabulously feminine, yet virtuous.

Tomorrow promises a whole new event. That's why it's called theater.
