There were two days since the play, "The House of Blue Leaves" in Danville, CA. ended that left me wondering, not only, what would I be doing next, but what would be the smartest and most honest thing to say about it? Obviously one is always auditioning, and how wonderful, I signed with a talent agent last Thursday.
Nine AM this morning, I got the answer to, What Are You Doing Next? My first TV commercial! Exactly what I had used as a subtitle on this very blog last March/April, "When Will I Get My First TV Commercial?"
The answer has finally come.
Shoot is Sunday. This commercial will air on cable.
Happy Thanksgiving! I have a lot to be thankful for - my wee circle of good friends, my understanding (sometimes) family, the fact that I am learning to sing ("Ave Maria") and to play the guitar (this week alone, "House of the Rising Sun") through my wonderfully sensitive teacher, Andrew Reissinger, and the stunning idea that I can turn a decade of corporate cubicle dwelling as writer and editor into a possible future of performance and teaching.
How about you? What are you doing next?
