It's not our fault, really it's not. When the audience is a tiny cluster and the actors have been in their own worlds for 3 days (our last show was Sunday), what you get is...well, a lack of enthusiasm, all around. I'll say this - all the actors were dispirited by the small, quiet audience. But - the nuns were perfect! Yahoo! Really - we were.
Actors need feedback. As do writers. And painters. And tennis players. You know the drill.
It may be community theater, with all its negative connotations, but the key word is COMMUNITY, and in that, there is "unity."
