Acting Lesson Learned
My photo of a shrine in Bolinas, CA.
Now that a bit of time has elapsed since I left the play and its recent dramas, I am beginning to see things play out. The director has advertised for a replacement, an "actor," so it will be interesting to see if the roles I had are now to be acted by men, or by one man. One of the three parts, in Spanish, was actually written for a man. The right man can certainly play all three.
My personal life, the one I rarely blog about, has taken a turn for the better. I got my life back, to paraphrase the squeaky oilman. I can attend to the day job again without leaving Silicon Valley for the Mission at 4 PM and underbillling for my week, and I can now pay attention to pressing family matters.
What an interesting thing to experience, barely a year and a half into this new career!
Acting Lesson Learned: if you are going to sacrifice for this art, make sure you are doing so with serious people.
