Arrived. Rehearsed. Panic over. I knew my lines for first part of Act 1 as well a anyone else in the cast. We sort of edged back onto book by the fourth and fifth scenes. I mean, it's a lot of dialogue for anyone, and we do all have lives and jobs. And, I have my 14-hour round-trip drive! One of our actors who bears a striking resemblance to John Travolta is a go-go dancer! Feeling totally comfortable now on the little Berubians stage. Not so sure about backstage - tight quarters for seven actors: co-ed. More work to be done with my wardrobe, as it requires about nine costume changes, but we've simplified the concept.
As I write this, the lead on the evening news from Long Beach sounds like one disaster after another....an oil spill, a stranded cruise ship due to a fire onboard, and more. But, I'm safe and sound, well taken care of, and got to watch "Dancing with the Stars" with my cousin. Go, Brandy!
