Some of us stayed in today...

This is Day Two of the big San Francisco casting for extras on Steven Soderbergh's feature starring Matt Damon, Kate Winslet, and Jude Law, "Contagion." I know a couple of people who turned out yesterday, and it made the evening news. Long lines, long waits, chilly weather, tough to find parking, but, otherwise, it sounds pretty well organized. They are trying to fill a stadium with 10,000 extras, mostly non-union. There's separate casting going on for the physicians, nurses, cops, etc.

We had a cold, windy, rainy day today, so maybe the lines thinned out this morning. Check out photos in the San Francisco Chronicle of locals, including the cute dog Joey, who turned up for this casting.
