You audition, you wait a couple of days, you hear nothing from the last director, you book your next audition, you move on. Always moving forward, only looking back to question what you could have done better, or who they really had in mind that you were not, may never have been - if only you could get inside their heads. That's the life of a new actor, a new actress, of anyone who has to audition.
It's been a quiet few days. My body begged me to take a break. I had to book out with my agent and cancel a shoot. I hated that so much, but I'm on doctor's orders. And, the best thing about that is that I get to watch TV, something I rarely have time for, as I'm usually on the move. I'm caught up on the latest back-to-back episodes of "The Closer," which has me hooked, and the gripping "Law and Order" and "CSI" gruesomes.
Segue to my next audition, for a local crime series. It's down the road and on my calendar.
