Voice recording adventure

What wonders transpire when a director calls you to his recording studio. He loves your voice. He has decided on YOU. The rest is work. You are glad to spend 90 minutes with a real ARTIST. You might even spend the weekend, but, it is not necessary. You are two humans of similar mindscape/ideas/synergy. I had no idea it was a student film til I got there, and now I am so so so glad to be participating.

Somehow, I just went for this one, against my usual rule: no student films. I didn't really know Josh was a student til I met him. I also went against my other actors' rule: beware of going to the director's home. Well, it turned out to be a nice 3-guy roommate situation in S.F., and all was cool.

The entire recording experience was professional and well done. The film is about a young woman who parties a lot. Against the background of modern day girls amusing themselves, my voice is that of a narrator from another realm, with almost no emotion. This is a very different experience for me, to go for monotone. We really had fun trying a variety of styles.

Can't wait to see this film!
