Surely my day will come

Surprised, this morning, by a call from a local casting director for a gig on Monday. Yeah, I could have been booked, from local rep and photo. If only I didn't have a family commitment. One that had already been postponed and rescheduled by me, due to my current teaching schedule. Then, maybe I could have been featured in this low-budget TV show. But, you know, I'm a glass half-full kind of gal, and I say, maybe next time, when they call, it will be for a better-paying gig, for a more important project, and I will be available. Surely my day will come.
