Suddenly, for the audition for the sci-fi film, "In-World War," I find out today I am to prepare a 2-4 minute memorized monologue by tomorrow afternoon, and get ready to read as both Trainer Terry and the mother. My friend M says by now I should have this kind of thing "in the bag." I agonize for about 15 minutes while revising my keyword-laden writing for a new international client, fielding emails, and realizing that it's true - there just is not enough time in the day to ever have one off - if one is to be a multi-careerist. I feel like the old woman Obama supporter: "Honey, I ain't got time to die!"
I'm working on memorizing my angry scene from "Erin Brokovitch."
It begins, "Oh, see, now, that pisses me off."

Tonight Kristin sent us the unedited audio clip from our first cold read of "The Lighted Bridge." A thrilling thing to hear, especially the frightening monster sounds made by Brian Vouglas and the gurgly tones of Lisa Lindsley, who does the best primorials. I can't wait to record the next part, and also to hear this once it's edited, with sound effects and music.

Also found out the winery has decided we need not show up twice. The shoot day will suffice and while we're up there, doing our sipping bit parts, they will decide who will get the host and co-host role. That makes it even more exciting!
