Bi-lingual Improv

My audition yesterday at The Climate Theater in SF was a bit different. It was for a training video and required one to read the script's premise and take off, improvising on a small black stage for the director and cameraman the roles of three characters in one scene, followed by two additional characters...I can't give away the concept yet, but here's the thing: when you do improv, obviously, you are taking an idea and making up your lines as you go, in character.

Can you imagine doing all these characters back to back, and each time having to do them in English immediately followed by the same idea in Spanish? It was a bit much. I had fun with it, though. I think my Latinas, in particular, were kind of zany, a combo of Lucy and Ricky Ricardo.

At 10 AM tomorrow director Chris Fiorentini and his crew show up at my front door to film me in robe and rollers, as the woman at the door - improv again, proably MOS.  The film is "Beat Heart Break." You may rmember my audition  in SF a few weeks back, for the role of the waitress. Got this instead.

Audition later Saturday for another improv deal....this time in front of 25 or so directors. No matter what, it can't be harder than the last one.
