Booked: Three New Characters for Lisa

News from tonight's rehearsal of "The 91 Owl" is that I'll definitely be playing the Businesswoman, the Old Mexican Woman, and the Evangelical. Last one required that I translate her part into Spanish, which I've done, and I'll get to use a bullhorn as this character!

I am reaching out to my Hispanic friends to help me work on the Old Woman's accent - she'll be a bit like Carmen in "Real Women Have Curves," but older. As for my Evangelical - I will call on the powers of my Head Nun from "The House of Blue Leaves" to guide me through.

Director Gregg had me rehearse tonight with a new auditioner for the role of Chato, to cue him into a double-take. I improvised all the way and surprised them with a brandished sacred relic.

Calling All Actors: we still need at least 3 young Hispanic and African American talent. Any takers?
If so, drop me a note in the Comment Section below.
