Actors' party

My friend the great Indian actress threw a terrific dinner party tonight for actors. We watched a couple of her old videos produced by student directors and ate Indian treats as we discussed the inevitable conundrum many of us face of how to support ourselves - while working as actors - so we can earn a decent living in the meantime. Should we join SAG or not? LA or New York? Theater versus film...? Do we all have the chops to take the next plunge? If only we had a crystal ball....
