Competing for my attention....

I planned my Sunday around the Oscars tonight, and made sure I was in front of the TV for the beginning of the show, for once. Just as I was about to leave the computer for the TV, the clip I've been waiting for a couple of weeks to see - a video for an alarm monitoring company - arrived. So, here I am trying to drill down a Web page and look at a bunch of tiny clips, while the gorgeous Ann Hathaway and the rest of the proud Hollywood denizens are doing the Oscar night dazzle. Well, the gowns and glamor got me. It makes me feel like there's no way I will ever be in the league of any of these fine players, nor will I have enough time on the planet to even bring my skills to their level.

Not that this is what acting is all about - it's just my commercial reality.

Love that they ended on that dreamy "Over the Rainbow" note.

Was the show longer than usual, or is it me?
