Meanwhile, back in the world of training films....

I was hired on Monday to portray a supervisor in a health compliance training video. We six actors came to downtown Oakland ready with hair and make-up done, and the cameraman, working with a Canon, had no assistant.

I got to wear my new Michael Kors multi-zippered black jacket and wear my glasses as I normally would, in the context of a corporate meeting in a conference room. Basically, I played an aspect of my work self. All those years in corporateville made me really well rehearsed.

The nine-page long script was riddled with information about legal issues, and we actors had to read the script then deliver it, in chunks, using our own words, so that it would sound natural. I think we did it.

I heard the audio replays of some of the segments, but, as usual, didn't get to see how it looked yet.

Kudos to producer Tricia for her masterful ability to work on the fly. The entire production was shot in just three hours, after we rehearsed for about an hour.
