Catching Sukanya

I had been negligent recently. Missed Sukanya Sarkar's appearance in "Frankenstein" as it was sold out by the time I could plan to see it. So, I was determined not to miss her as Aunt Marsh in the current production by San Leandro Players of "Little Women." Sukie did not disappoint! It's a solid and witty community theater production. She is outstanding, almost outlandish. A superior performer in every way. 

"Oh, it's no big deal," she told me a few weeks ago. "Just a small role." Oh, but it was a big deal!

"I always do my own costumes - the directors always trust me," she said. And, well they should!
