Auditions and rehearsals

Seems I'm auditioning about once a week this spring, but nothing has broken for me. This week, like last week, it's another Big Pharma product and one of those videotaped product demonstrations to be conquered. So, of course, got the hair done, and the nails. Need pretty hands! On my way over to my hairdresser's, I was thinking that she's the only one making money on my efforts this year. Oh, yes, and so is the parking garage. And, so are the tollbooths. And the gasoline company. And the cappuccino purveyors. Not to mention the clothing companies that manufacture my "audition" blouses.
Cabaret rehearsals are going well. Our "Tourbillon de la Vie" trio gets along well, and I think our voices are a good match. Two rehearsals of the trio so far, plus two cabaret meetings. I love to sing!
I enlisted my pal, Peter, a graphic designer, to redo the cabaret program, and also, it looks like my photographer, Eric, can cover the next show. We will also have a young videographer this time, so, if the images are any good, we'll finally have something to show as we begin to promote our act.

Our iconic cabaret photo from February 2014: at the next show, all but four of those shown here will be newcomers. |
