Do you know the way to San Jose?

Dan Carlson ponders the next scene.
Got the hair and nails done, brought enough wardrobe changes to last several days, and drove down to San Jose to appear as the lady of a high-tech house for a crowd-funding video for a gizmo that could one day run all the electronics in my efficient, smart house. It was covered MOS (midout sound, you know), and only took four hours to shoot.

Ten minutes after getting off the highway, there I was in my nightie, under the covers in a fancy Italianate bedroom, a woman who is about to have a heart attack, with three cute guys in their 20s in the room - the client, my director, Dan Carlson, and his attractive assistant, Marcus Mancuso. The day-in-the-life scenario takes place in a cute two-story house decorated in Italian rustic style. After the bedtime scene, I get out of bed, go to the bathroom and brush my teeth. Meanwhile the director and his assistant were shooting from inside the bathtub and shower stall, all the while also taking "front and back" selfies on their iPhones while avoiding any mirror catches of themselves in the production video. (Apparently this free front and back app is all the rage in Japan.)

Dan is so efficient - almost a one-man band - with his fancy Canon and the rigged tripod that allows him to do smooth moves.

This location was found on AirBnB and the real lady of the house, quite the hottie, was getting ready to go to a party with her lovely galpal while we shot our scenes.

We moved from bedroom to kitchen, then living room to lounge. By the end of the shoot my character got into her red Tesla and drove off.
