Good show last night. Small, appreciative audience, we call them.
Yesterday I did two things I hope to never repeat: One, I did not get enough sleep the night before and thought I could get away with a one-hour nap in the afternoon, and Two, I had a full dinner right before the show since I had forgotten to eat all day, and was famished. Anyone who has been in theater knows the dangers of both of these. Better to wake up refreshed in the morning, get your exercise during the day, then have a light meal a few hours before the performance to keep you at peak performance. So, last night, I was only about 75 percent as energetic and targeted as the night before.
I have a nice print version of the Charles Jarrett review now, and just about enough mementos from my year's work to put together a sound portfolio. Another marketing task awaits.
