Sparkling Short Run
A sparkling Sunday afternoon in the East Bay...a calmed down cast post opening and second night jitters...discovering the power of their own physical emotional selves...an audience of serious theater goers and friends...the sadness of having this be perhaps our last time together as cast and crew... A tremendous performance followed by almost an hour of questions from the audience answered in depth by our director, Tiffany Golden, actors Andre Dos Santos Morgan, Derric Brock, Clarence Johnson, Jr., actresses LaToya Johns, Tatiana Monet, Dee Dee Hilgesen, and our producer, Klara Grunnig-Harris, and others...my beautiful and devoted mother and loving brother in the audience throughout, a bit of negotiation with the theater management, and an afternoon well spent, leaving all involved in this amazing short run of FIRSTBORN with hope and spiritual fortitude. Off to dinner afterwards at the Paragon Cafe... I could take a week off now, go to a spa, get some massages, hot stone treatments, fall asleep under the sun, in a hammock, fly like a skylark over a volcano.
