During this amazing week in media news, it seems so small to be blogging about my mini acting role this week, as the aging and humble Latina woman who has been disappointed in life and love (who hasn't been?) and who drinks a bit much. I am preparing for my role for a day-long shoot, but I keep getting distracted by my other ambitious projects (you know who you are) and the incredible news of the decline of the tacky press empire that some say will bring down media as we know it.
Got wardrobe? CHECK. Beiges and grays as background, pale pinks and hues of blue as strong colors. All cotton. All ironed. No fashion forward statements whatsoever.
Got jewelry? CHECK. Whatever happened to that other Elsa Perretti Kiss earring? I always ask this kind of thing in anticipation of a shoot, as I am experiencing diminishing returns in the pairing of earrings department.
Got shoes? CHECK. All my shoes are worn this year. Cheesy. DSW, so last year. Perfect for my character. I have all the comfy shoes in every appropriate color. Need to know a person? Check their shoes. We know this. I am becoming a cheesy shoe gal.
Got make-up? CHECK. Need very little. Must be cautious about that. Always, eyes must be the focus.
Got a pocketbook? CHECK. Made 2 choices for my character. There could be a third. No style here, but easy-going and color coordinated, in an age of no matchy, no matchy.
