Film festival entry, "words in the rain/les mots dans la pluie"

Rachel Cheng in Kristin Cato's new film.
Got a note from Kristin Cato, who directed me in the podcast, "The Lighted Bridge," that she is making a short film from some of our outtakes and entering it in a film fest. She said:

"... want to share what is going on with the project. Namely, I am making a
very short experimental film spinoff from The Lighted Bridge audio drama.
It is titled "words in the rain/les mots dans la pluie" and uses a scene
we recorded together where Charlotte and Pierre go out into a rowboat. If
you remember in this scene, Charlotte sees words everywhere, but Pierre
sees nothing but cages and fevers.

I have recast Charlotte and Pierre to play the characters as imagined for
visuals, but I am using Lisa Lindsley and Brian Vouglas' voices (as well
as The French Echo by Lisa Carlson). I edited the audio for this scene
with sound effects long ago. However, the scene did not fit into the
first two episodes, so it remained an outtake. Now it has its own film.

The film is highly experimental clocking at about three minutes. It is
made up of stills only, shot with a 35mm camera using expired film stocks
of different varieties. It will be shown at Other Cinema/Artists'
Television Access on December 22 at 8:30pm in a program of new
experimental works. It was a chance to make something quickly and get it
shown, and a way to return to working with film.

The Lighted Bridge Episode 3 is next on my list and I will attack that
editing project after this film finishes in December..."
