A New Moon

It's exactly 10 months since I launched this acting career, full throttle, having little tech writing work, and living on unemployment, in this grim and grimmer economy. Today I met my personal goal - to sign with a reputable actors' representative. New moon, new potential. All that driving, all those auditions! Now you know why I did it.

Agent requests that I redo my resume - it's too long. I knew that. I had listed everything I had ever done to add credibility as a newcomer - to get an agent interested. Now this editor can get to work.

Agent requests that I add my name to front of photo. That will be fun!

Agent requests that I get additional photos. Current one serviceable, but not grand. It will be done.

Agent gave me a bunch of agency logo'd stickers to add to photo - fun!

Agent requests that I change my listing on Casting Networks to reflect new status. Cool!

There's lots more. I am still absorbing the details we went over, and thanking my lucky stars this new moon evening.

Off to the loony bin - "The House of Blue Leaves." Three more performances left. Hope to see you there!
